"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way." 1 Timothy 2:1-2

The UK was awash with celebratory events for  HRH Queen Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee. Events of all types were being held up and down the country but for many homeless people the social situation prevents them from joining in and celebrating.  This year to make a difference at we organised an outdoor celebration which consisted of special meals, the usual bunting and flags and some music, at our East London based 'Meals for the Needy' project.  The events we held were encouraging for Redbridge's homeless.  We also handed out blankets after we received a gift of 50 from an event recycle group. Soojal Masih an orphan whose education is now being provided through the BACA after his 10 year old brother was murdered by employers and his mother died of grief, has come top of his class.   He had to go back 4 grades below his age group as he was completely illiterate, but has proven to be a hard-working and committed student. We believe this is the first time he has been to school and he really seems to be making every effort to succeed.  Read more about his life story (here).

Frequency of sponsored asylum for Pak-Christians in Thailand is increasing

By

Shaleen Sunny (23 yrs) can feed her family this month thanks to your donation

There are several thousand Pak-Christian asylum seekers in Thailand all of whom are treated as illegal immigrants, even though a large percentage have either UNHCR registration as an official asylum seeker or refugee. This forces them to work cash in hand jobs for a pittance under extremely difficult and unsafe circumstances.  Last year a Pak-Christian father died after a fall from a high ladder and was entitled to no compensation, even worse the business that hired him was not punished.  Babar Ishaq left behind a large family with a severely mentally-impaired child – they are one of our beneficiaries.

Christian Man hacked by sickles then tied around neck with hose and dragged through streets to nearby home.

By

Younis Masih (RIP)

A Christian farm worker was  brutally murdered by two Muslim men in a village named Muslimania, Sialkot, Pakistan.

The men used farm sickles and scythes to inflict large gaping wounds to the head and body of the murder victim.  They then then threw bricks at his head smashing his skull – probably to make sure he was dead.

A hose was then placed around the neck of the corpse which was dragged through the farm onto the streets nearby the home of the murder victim.
