Mass Burial Services Held for Christian Martyrs in Manipur Amid Ongoing Ethnic CleansingSeason's Greetings to everyone, May this Christmas be a special occasion, drawing us closer to God as we celebrate the birth of Jesus
Christ, our Lord, and Savior. With only two days left until Christmas, we ask our supporters to remember Christians across South Asia who endure
persecution and suffering while upholding their faith. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. You may have heard by now, but the first thing our persecuted brothers and sisters ask for is prayer." We express gratitude for recent donations that allowed us to rehouse Jammu Masih and his family and restore most of the household goods lost in a fire (Read more here). Additionally, we share details of our first Audio Bible distribution and anticipate further events in the new year (Read more here). In India, we highlight the plight of our brothers and sisters in Manipur, where 50,000 Christians have been displaced and over 100 killed by the Hindu Meitei tribe seeking to eradicate these Christians from their ancestral homes. Recent mass funerals saw 132 martyrs buried (Read more here). Donations to our India fund are crucial, as we aim to make Christmas more bearable for these beleaguered Christians (Donate here). We also hope to aid the 45 arrested Christian Pastors and Evangelists in Uttar Pradesh, where anti-conversion laws take a toll on Christian morale (Read more here). In Pakistan, distressing news includes a Pastor's family targeted in a gun attack for owning a small dairy shop (Click here), a Christian family beaten and shot after a Muslim woman and Christian man eloped (Click here), and a Christian family forced to live in hiding despite a blasphemy charge being overturned (Click here). A
Pakistani Christian student in the UK, impacted by the blasphemy incident, is seeking assistance due to challenges with the cost of living. Please click on the preceding link to gain more information and watch him speak at High Road Baptist Church, Ilford. You can consider contributing to our love offering if you feel inclined to do so. Your support can make a significant difference in alleviating the difficulties this student is currently facing. Our Christmas fundraising efforts have yielded only around £2500 so far this month, causing some of our work to be put on hold. With a few days left, our volunteers and staff are ready to enact as much of the program as possible, with a priority to emancipate two slave families, from which young women suffered gang-rape Read more (here) and (here). We need to raise a minimum of £6000 to set
these families free and at least a further £1500 to establish safe new rented homes for them to restart their lives. If you are moved to help, you can donate (here). Read the accounts of these slave families and the entire previous newsletter (here). This Christmas, more than 139,000 children in the UK will face homelessness, marking a concerning rise of over 14% compared to last year. Join us in supporting the Meals for the Homeless project and contribute to alleviating child food poverty. Your involvement can make a
meaningful impact. Read more about it (here). In addition to this we are extending support for our program in Ukraine. Pastor Vasilev, exemplifying remarkable courage, has opted to stay in Ukraine instead of returning to his native Russia. We reshare the latest news regarding our ongoing initiatives in Thailand (click here) and Ukraine (click here). We are still in search of volunteers who are willing to assist us in writing reports. Additionally, if you reside near Ilford, we are looking for volunteers to contribute to our Meals for the Needy Project, which serves an ever increasing number of visitors every week. We have prepared this
video to detail what we do at the homeless shelter: Reviewing all the projects mentioned above, it's evident that fulfilling these appeals requires a substantial amount of funding. We are hopeful that many of you will join us in reaching these goals and that you'll share details of the appeals that resonate with
you with others. Together, we can initiate a program of tangible change this Christmas/New year. Your support and collaboration can make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need. Blessings to you all. Hannah Chowdhry If you are a regular reader and want to support our work, you can find a range of options for giving donations (here). If you are already giving donations and reside in the UK you may want to switch from Paypal or Stripe payments and pay directly into the charity bank account as we will receive more of your donation. Our bank details are in the same link above. For donors in the US, we have recently established a partnership with a US charity who act as a conduit allowing US Citizens to have tax relief on their donations. If you wish to receive details on how to donate to us through them, please feel free to request details via email at admin@britishasianchristians.org. We upload videos for all our stories on YouTube, Tik
Tok, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and you can join any of our groups for free. But in most cases it is easier to read our news in real-time blog via our 'Current News' page in the header of our website.

Mass Burial Services Held for Christian Martyrs in Manipur Amid Ongoing Ethnic Cleansing
On December 15, 2023, a mass burial ceremony was held for 45 Christian martyrs belonging to the Kuki-Zo tribe in Manipur. Subsequently, on December 20, an additional 87 individuals were laid to rest. This solemn event transpired following a directive from the Indian Supreme Court, instructing the state government to
oversee respectful and dignified burials for those who lost their lives in the ongoing violence between the Meitei (predominantly Hindu) and Kuki-Zo tribes (largely Christian). In the face of a staggering death toll, Indian authorities have been unsuccessful in quelling the unrest, and the Christian community continues to endure frequent attacks. According to Rev. Dr. Satkhokai Chongloi, there is a growing concern that some Indian authorities might be complicit in supporting Hindutva (Hindu Nationalism), possibly collaborating with the Hindu Meitei community. The plight of the Christian community is evident in overcrowded relief camps, accommodating over 50,000 displaced individuals. Many among them harbor apprehensions about returning to their homes and are fervently urging the Indian
Government to allocate a new area of land, providing them with the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

BACA’s Compassionate Outreach: Transforming Lives Through the Gift of Audio Bibles
On December 18th, a dedicated team of Pakistani Pastors, who generously volunteer for the British Asian Christian Association, journeyed to brick kilns in Sheikhupura to distribute both printed and audio
Bibles. The distribution of Bibles is anticipated to provide a valuable opportunity for some of the most
underprivileged Christians in Pakistan to deepen their faith and engage with the transformative Gospel of Christ. Now, they can study and reflect on these teachings in their own time, rather than solely relying on the presence of a visiting Pastor.

Christian Family Brutally Attacked for Alleged Elopement
A group of local Muslims violently attacked and injured four innocent Christian farmworkers in Chichawatni, Punjab, as they resisted pressure to convert to Islam. The impoverished Christians were left on stretchers outside hospital wards,
anxiously awaiting medical attention from doctors. Regrettably, the police have unlawfully rejected the
application against the perpetrators, leaving the victims without legal recourse. In response to this
injustice, British Asian Christian Association (BACA) has approached the office of the District Police Officer (DPO), seeking assistance in registering a First Information Report (FIR) at the local police station to initiate a formal investigation into the incident.
