Our safe house project should be completed by the end of May.
Dear Supporters,
I hope this message finds you well.
I’m pleased to share that our charity has now successfully opened a new bank account with CAF Bank. This is a significant step forward for us, and it strengthens our financial
stability and transparency as we continue serving persecuted Christians.
We are now advising our donors to use this new CAF Bank account as our primary account for all future donations. This change ensures that your giving is handled through a secure, charity focused banking system designed specifically for organisations like ours.
The account details are as follows;
Account Name: Help For Persecuted Christians
Sort
Code:40-52-40
Account Number: 73013626
Thank you for your patience and continued trust during this transition. Your support means more than words can express, and this new account helps us steward your generosity with even greater confidence and accountability.
We are pleased to share that construction of our new safe house is progressing well and is now expected to be completed by the end of May. This project has been carefully designed with
the safety and long-term protection of vulnerable Christians in mind.
The building is being constructed with reinforced double-brick walls for added security, alongside strong secure doors throughout the prope that are 11ft high, for added security. It will also include a biometric entry system and CCTV surveillance to help safeguard residents and staff. We are additionally hopeful that a permanent uniformed and armed security officer will be stationed at the property to
ensure the ongoing protection of all who seek refuge there, as well as our employees working on-site.
This safe house will become a vital refuge for victims of persecution, abuse, forced conversions, domestic violence, and false accusations. While we are determined to begin operating the building in some capacity as soon as construction is complete, we urgently need the support of our donors to fully equip and operationalise the facility to the standard required for those in
our care.
We therefore humbly ask those who have supported us previously—and anyone moved by our mission—to consider making a donation during this crucial stage of the project. Your generosity will help us provide genuine safety, dignity, and hope to some of the most vulnerable members of the Christian community in Pakistan. Read more and donate (here).
Alongside this positive development, we also wish to update you on the case of 14-year-old Christian girl Saira George, who was abducted and brutally assaulted in Chak 82/6R,
Sahiwal in late 2025.
Despite strong prosecution evidence and continuing trial proceedings, the accused, Muhammad Zohaib, was recently denied bail by the Sessions Court in Sahiwal. This decision offers some encouragement to Saira’s family as they continue their pursuit of justice. However, Zohaib has now filed a renewed application for post-arrest bail before the Lahore High Court, meaning the legal battle is far from over.
The victim’s family, supported by
the British Asian Christian Association (BACA), continues to face pressure, intimidation, and repeated delays throughout the process. We remain committed to standing beside them and ensuring this young girl’s suffering is not ignored or forgotten. Read more and donate towards her continuing legal battle (here)
This week’s newsletter also includes further updates regarding several victims and families who remain in urgent need of assistance, protection, and financial support. Your continued prayers and contributions remain essential in helping us
respond effectively to these growing needs.
On a personal note, I would also like to thank everyone who has already supported my forthcoming international law internship. Your kindness and encouragement mean a great deal to me.
This internship represents an important step toward my long-term goal of becoming qualified in international law so I can advocate for persecuted South Asian Christians before international courts, institutions, and human rights
agencies. In the future, I also hope to qualify in Pakistani law and one day represent blasphemy law victims directly under the pupillage and guidance of Saif ul Malook, widely regarded as Pakistan’s greatest blasphemy law solicitor.
So far, I have raised £374 towards my £3,900 target just under 10% (Click here to donate). There is still a long way to go, and any contribution—large or small—would be sincerely appreciated and
will help me pursue this mission of legal advocacy for some of the world’s most vulnerable Christians.
Thank you, as always, for your continued prayers, compassion, and support.
Blessings,
Hannah Chowdhry
