Dear all,
We hope you all had a wonderful Resurrection Day and that your walk with God has been invigorated by the poignant reminder of his great sacrifice. To God be the glory.
We were saddened to hear about the death of Prince Philip only months before he recahed his 100th birthday. Not only was the Duke of Edinburgh a wonderful Ambassador for the UK, a faithful husband to Queen Elizabeth and a Protective father, but his life of charitable works leave behind a wonderful legacy. Of those Charitable works the Duke of Edinburgh Award is closet to my heart, it helps thousands of young people across the globe gain valuable insights into life, imparts useful
transferable skills and challenges them to do more. I would have completed my Gold Award this year had it not been for Coronavirus but am ever grateful for all involved with the award for the opportunities it created for me.
We thank God for the life of Prince Philip and pray for God's presence to touch the Queen her family and all the friends and associates of Prince Philip as they come to terms with his death. May God give them strength and understanding.
We thank you for your prayers and support which helped with the release of Nabeel Masih who was only 16 years old when convicted of blasphemy in Pakistan.
"I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world." John 17:14-16
Sadly the release of Nabeel Masih from prison, has not yet resulted in any real sense of freedom. The bail condition is not an acquittal and judges and authorities seem to be determined to see him dead. Read more (here).
Even worse Pakistani courts had at one point re-criminalised Nabeel and had a warrant out for his arrest and that of his bail guarantor after they failed to attend a court hearing. However after swift action by our BACA appointed solicitor we have been able to quash the warrants based on exhibited poor administration by the courts themsleves. Read more (here)
Nabeel has developed painful and potentially cancerous lipomas whilst in prison and need immediate medical attention. Read more (here).
Freedom for Nabeel Masih surprised many after BACA secured his release on bail despite several previous charities failing. Read more (here).
The mother of Badil Masih made a private agreement to forgive the murderers of her 10 year oldd son. Her hope was to bring safety to her surviving son and a chance at a better life - the devious killers have now failed to pay her compensation having tricked her into signing papers of forgiveness and getting her statement in court. All three men who murdered Christian Saleem Masih for washing in the same well as Muslims, will soon be put to trial, thanks to BACA's solicitor. Read more (here)

Recently freed Christian blasphemy convict and his bail guarantor sought by Police on most wanted fugitive list, after poor court administration

Nabeel Masih, Pakistan’s youngest ever blasphemy victims who was convicted at only 16 years of age and spent 4 years in prison until released on bail last month (click here), was almost rearrested by Pakistani police, due poor administration by Pakistani Courts.
The young man who is still coming to terms with the constant death threats he receives since his release and the tangible danger to his life, has been at his wits end after the poor court management made him and his bail guarantor a friend of BACA fugitives on a most wanted list.
The bizarre circumstance occurred after a court hearing at Kasur Court on 30th March during which it was ordered that Nabeel Masih’s case should be moved from Kasur District Court to Pattoki District Court.

Easter gfits for the homeless to share blessing of Christ's resurrection

Homeless people in Ilford were treated to a chicken roast dinner, Easter eggs and gifts on Saturday 3rd August. Around 40 local homeless people turned up to receive the hearty meals and seasonal extras. We also shared a number of Gideon's bibles with 11 distributed that weekend.
Our Meals for the homeless project is now over a year old but due to a decrease in volunteers since the lockdown has lifted we have made a decision to terminate the project. The number of volunteer hours needed for the project is now simply beyond our capacity and we can no longer afford to run the project, which has a large number of associated costs. Our project will now end on the 30th of April 2021.

Nabeel a few days before he was arrested.
Since being taken to a BACA safe house he has shared his awful experience living in solitary confinement at the hands of jail officers. As he broke into tears he has recounted his desperate conditions:
"I was kept in complete isolation - nobody was allowed to speak to me.
"Even prison staff who would bring me food were told not to speak to me and they did not.
"Food was bland and tasteless, it was almost always cold and served only twice a day.

Compensation terms agreed by distressed mother whose 11 Y/O son was murdered by his employers

For around two years we have battled for justice for Badil Masih a Christian boy of only 11 years old who at a very tender age become the responsible man of the house, after his father became a serious drug addict. Badil Masih decided to give up his summer holidays so he could work in a scrapyard to help his mother meet the financial demands of running a home.
Badil was a hard worker and always completed his tasks working insufferable long hours to meet his employers demands and deadlines. When he asked for part of his salary that was overdue his brutal Muslim employers became more difficult with him. This was despite the fact that his younger brother Moon of only 9 years would often help him without pay.

Father of Christian man murdered for washing in the same well as Muslims still awaits justice

Saleem Masih (22 yrs) was beaten to death for rinsing himself off in the tube well of Muslim land owners in Choonia District, Kasur.
It should be noted that many Muslim men have been permitted to rinse themselves off in the well for many years but it was the fact that a ‘ritually unclean’ Christian dared to use the well in this fashion that led to his murder.

In less than a year, the slayers of innocent Saleem Masih were set free on bail by the court and the hapless father Ghafoor has found himself struggling to get justice.
Gafoor Masih never misses a court hearing and travels above 60 Km to reach the court to ensure justice is gained for his murdered son.
We have documented threats to the family by friends and family of the murderers who have been warning Ghafoor to drop the case.
Ghafoor Masih has also complained that police duped him into signing a document in which Ali and Shera Dogar two named culprits were removed.
He alleges that the documents that he signed were blank when they were signed which included a police First Information Report (FIR).

Nabeel Masih (20 yrs) who was set free from prison on bail last week has now reunited with his family and he is in a safe place. But his release has revealed the significant pain he has had to endure after large lipomas began to develop all over his body, whilst he was placed in a dingy unclean cell, in complete isolation, with little chance for exercise.
We have had Nabeel checked at a hospital and they are concerned that some may be cancerous and that he must have a biopsy before full treatment to have them removed. He will return to hospital on 25th March 2021 for the biopsy.
Juliet Chowdhry, said:
"The failure by Pakistani prison authorities to protect Nabeel Massih whike in their custody is deplorable.
"Nabeel has lost 4 years of his life to a false allegation of blasphemy.
"His health at such a young age has declined though this could have been curbed.

Image taken as Nabeel was driving to his new home.
They said it could not be done, several NGO's failed but today British Asian Christian Association is proud to announce that Nabeel Masih a Christian Teenager of only 16 years old when convicted of blasphemy has been released from prison on bail.
The young man now 20 years of age was smuggled to a place of secrecy early this morning and is now hoping to restart his life abroad, free from the threats of death that he faces in Pakistan.
BACA hope to soon get Nabeel Masih a swift exit to a country of safety, but first we must ensure he is acquitted from the blasphemy conviction that has stolen 4 of the most important years of his young life.
