Hope in the Midst of Suffering – BACA’s Urgent Newsletter
Dear Friends and Supporters,
James 5:14-15 (NIV):
"Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint
them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven."
It is with heavy hearts that we reach out to you once more.
Last month, you stood with us as we shared the devastating story of Nasreen Masih, who lost three generations of her family when the roof of their home collapsed during violent monsoon rains. Your
prayers and generous gifts helped us begin the process of rebuilding her home—restoring safety and dignity to the lives left. We will provide an update in our next newsletter.
But just as we began to see hope rising from the rubble, two new crises have struck.
🩺 Nabeel Masih, the young Christian man who endured five years of unjust imprisonment under false blasphemy charges, is fighting for his life once again. After a short recovery
from Hepatitis E, he has now been diagnosed with Ascites, a serious and painful condition that has placed him back in the ICU. His family is desperate, and BACA is committed to covering his medical costs. We urgently need your prayers and support to keep him alive.

🧒🏽 And in Sultan Town, Sargodha, the nightmare of persecution has deepened: 14-year-old Shamraiz Masih has been abducted, raped, and forcibly converted to Islam. He is now being held in a madrasa, where his grieving family is denied all contact with him. Despite lodging a police report and receiving public assurances, the boy
remains captive, and the main suspect—his former employer—remains at large.

These are not isolated events—they are part of
the wider persecution that Christian families in Pakistan endure daily. We are asking you to respond once again:
