Newsletter late December 2025
Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Dear Friends and Supporters, As we approach the season of hope and giving, we are grateful for your continued support in standing with persecuted and
vulnerable Christian families across Pakistan. This month, your generosity has helped restore homes, provide legal defence, and bring comfort to those who have suffered unimaginable loss.
We apologise for the delayed newsletter, which coincided with our recent visit to Pakistan. I, Hannah Chowdhry, travelled on a 30-hour outbound and 24-hour return flight and spent five days in Pakistan personally supporting persecuted Christian families, with all flight expenses covered myself. Trustee Juliet Chowdhry had travelled a few days earlier to
complete the paperwork for BACA’s new safe house, which has now been officially purchased. Work on the safe house will begin after the Narowal rebuild project, expected sometime in the new year. We will share more details soon. Here are the latest updates from BACA’s urgent work:
A Christmas Miracle in the Making: Rebuilding a Grieving Family’s Home
A tragic roof collapse in Narowal claimed the life of two-year-old Anaya and left several family members seriously injured. The extended Masih family, left homeless and grieving, were forced to live in cramped spaces offered by neighbours. BACA immediately covered funeral and medical costs and committed to rebuild their home with strong,
weather-resistant foundations. Construction is now underway, and the family hopes to move back into their new home before Christmas, giving them a chance for a true holiday miracle.
Hope on the Move: Juliet and Hannah Bring Comfort to Persecuted Christians
BACA Trustee Juliet Chowdhry and volunteer Hannah Chowdhry completed a seven-day mission across Pakistan to support persecuted families. They provided comfort to widows, practical aid to orphaned children, and reassurance to grieving families, including Nawab Bibi, Shama and Shahzad’s children, and the family of Nabeel
Masih. Their mission concluded with renewed hope for Basharat Masih, as BACA’s legal team continues to fight for his release.
From Despair to Determination: Legal Breakthrough for Basharat Masih
After Basharat’s family was left without a lawyer due to severe threats, BACA swiftly engaged Pakistan’s top blasphemy lawyer, Saif ul Malook. Court proceedings are ongoing, despite delays caused by absent witnesses and a lawyers’ strike. Basharat’s family, with BACA’s support, remains steadfast in seeking justice, trusting God for freedom and
protection.
Strength from the Ashes: Restoring Dignity to a Devastated Family
A Christian family in Raiwind lost three loved ones when monsoon rains caused their home to collapse. Homeless and grieving, they received immediate support from BACA, including funeral costs, temporary shelter, and construction of a new, elevated, fully furnished home. Now reunited under a secure roof, the family finds safety, dignity, and hope restored, thanks to the
compassion of our supporters.
New: Support Children Artists and BACA’s Work
We are excited to launch our new online shop featuring crystal art canvasses created by children from deprived families. Each canvas costs £4.99–£7.99. These children dedicate their time and passion to create beautiful artwork. All proceeds support them and BACA’s work with orphans and persecuted Christians. Explore the
shop and make a difference: [Visit our Crystal Art Shop]

homes, and hope to those who are suffering. Your continued donations make this life-changing work possible. Please consider giving today and sharing these updates with friends and family. Every contribution, large or small, helps restore hope, protect the vulnerable, and bring justice to those in desperate need.

homes are being rebuilt, children are receiving care, and the oppressed are finding hope in Christ’s love. We cannot do this without you. Please continue to stand with us in prayer and support.
Your support enables us to meet tragedy with compassion, rebuild lives with dignity, and shine the light of Christ in places of pain. Thank you for standing faithfully with us. Some urgent appeals from last month remain unmet, and we invite you to revisit them in our last newsletter (here).
Supporting Vulnerable Children in Peru — A Personal MissionAlongside my work with BACA, I will soon be joining my university’s Challenges Abroad team to support deprived children in Peru. This opportunity follows the life-changing experience I had in Thailand last year, where I witnessed first-hand how charities can transform the lives of vulnerable
children. I hope to bring the skills and understanding I gained back to strengthen BACA’s mission of supporting disadvantaged communities around the world. To help fund this program, our Challenges Abroad team has launched a Chuffed Campaign. I have already raised £560 towards the £2,000 needed for this volunteer experience, and I noticed that the link in our previous articles was incorrect. The correct link
is now provided, and any donation, no matter the size, would mean the world to me. Your generosity will not only enable me to participate in this important work, but also equip me to return with fresh ideas, strategies, and inspiration to help BACA continue its fight for justice, safety, and freedom for those who need it most. “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the
poor and the oppressed.” — Psalm 82:3 With gratitude and blessings, Hannah Chowdhry British Asian Christian Association For more ways to support our work, please visit our donation page.
