Proverbs 18:10 – “The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.”
Dear Friends and Supporters,
The past month has been one of both heartbreak and hope. Relentless rains and floods have devastated countless Christian families in Pakistan, while the long shadow of injustice
continues to fall on believers facing persecution. Yet in the midst of loss, your support has brought real light and relief.
Rebuilding Lives After Flood Tragedies
In Raiwind, the home of Aslam Masih’s family collapsed during heavy rains, killing three loved ones. Left grieving and homeless, the family sought refuge with relatives. With your help, BACA is rebuilding their home with solid foundations and stronger concrete
roofing, ensuring safety and dignity. Next week, the family will finally return to their new house—a symbol of resilience and hope. Read more (here).
In Narowal, a roof
collapse destroyed Nasir Masih’s family home, killing a young child and injuring several others. Sixteen family members now face grief, injuries, and displacement. BACA has already begun demolishing the flood-ravaged structure and is committed to rebuilding a safer home, while also providing urgent medical and emotional support. Read more (here).
Shabir’s story: A home still to be rebuilt
Shabir, already grieving the tragic 2021 murder of his wife and only son, now faces
the frightening prospect of having nowhere to live when the school reopens.
We previously shared his story in an appeal, but as we have not yet raised the £3,000 needed to rebuild his home, we are sharing it again in the hope of reaching more compassionate hearts. [Read more here.]
BACA has long supported Shabir’s medical and daily needs, and with your help, we can provide him with a safe, weatherproof home—restoring security, dignity, and peace to his remaining years.
From 27th August to 9th September, our teams braved dangerous floodwaters daily, delivering food, water, and aid to
stranded families in Bhikiwind—at a cost of nearly £400 per day (click here). No one else dared to navigate these perilous waters, leaving survivors without food or fuel to prepare even the
simplest meal. While this undertaking has placed a significant strain on our resources, it was a responsibility we could not forsake.
We urgently need your continued help to:
Provide community gas stoves for displaced families
Distribute mosquito nets in flood-drenched villages
Conduct two emergency medical camps to treat waterborne infections
Please consider standing with us
in this life-saving mission. [Click here to give to our Flood Appeal.]
Caring for Orphaned Children of Faith
In 2014, Shama and Shahzad Masih were brutally murdered, leaving behind three young children. For years, BACA has provided
education, emotional care, and support to help them overcome their trauma.
Now, these resilient children face urgent needs:
Electricity restoration for their home
Secure storage for their few possessions
School essentials to continue their education
Your help can ensure they remain safe and equipped to pursue their dreams.
Justice Delayed for Zafar
Bhatti
For 13 years, Pastor Zafar Bhatti has been imprisoned on false blasphemy charges, accused of sending just two text messages—a crime he denies. At his latest hearing, our Advocate Saif-ul-Malook questioned how such a harsh sentence could stand without evidence. Yet repeated delays, driven by the complainant’s lawyers, continue to deny him justice.
Meanwhile, his frail wife, Nawab Bibi, is suffering with serious health
problems, leaving her even more vulnerable. Their ordeal highlights the devastating misuse of Pakistan’s blasphemy laws against its Christian minority.
BACA remains committed to supporting Zafar and Nawab as they endure this cruel injustice.
Together, We Can Bring Hope
Every story we’ve shared reflects both immense need and the power of faithful action. With your partnership, homes are being rebuilt, children are receiving care, and the
oppressed are finding hope in Christ’s love.
We cannot do this without you. Please continue to stand with us in prayer and support. [Click here to donate.]
