Matthew 5:10–12 “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven…”
Dear Friends and
Supporters, We are writing to share important updates on our ongoing work supporting persecuted and at-risk Christian families, and to remind you that several urgent appeals from our previous newsletter remain active and still need your help. Your prayers, generosity, and advocacy continue to make a tangible difference for families facing
injustice, violence, and displacement.
Permanent Safe House: Construction Now Underway We are pleased to confirm that construction has officially begun on BACA’s first permanent safe house in Pakistan. This vital sanctuary will provide protection for persecuted Christian families, including blasphemy victims and survivors of sexual violence. Following the demolition of the old structure, the site has been professionally marked and foundation
work is now underway. This milestone marks the transition from vision to action—but significant funds are still needed to complete, furnish, and secure the safe house so it can serve those in urgent need. We kindly ask you to keep this project in your prayers and consider supporting the next phases of construction. (Read more / Support here)
Justice Update: Sumaira George Rape Case Moves Forward We are encouraged to report progress in the case of Sumaira George, the 14-year-old Christian girl whose rape shocked the nation. The court has dismissed the application filed by an accomplice and has formally framed charges against the primary accused under Sections 375 and 376 of
the Pakistan Penal Code. The next hearing, during which prosecution evidence will be presented, is scheduled for 11 February 2026. BACA’s legal team remains committed and confident as the family continues their long fight for justice. (Read more here)
Continuing Appeals and Community Impact Updates Alongside these developments, we want to share further progress on several initiatives and cases highlighted previously, which continue to require prayerful and practical support. We have now begun construction of a much-needed shower and toilet facility in Jaranwala, building on the clean
water hand pump BACA previously installed for the local Christian community (click here). In addition to the construction work, we will be providing essential hygiene items such as soap, toothbrushes, and toothpaste,
alongside community education on improved hygiene practices. This initiative aims to improve health outcomes and life expectancy in an area where preventable illness is widespread, while also offering vital protection to vulnerable women who currently face serious risks—including abduction and sexual violence—when forced to relieve themselves in open fields, an update will be shared in the next newsletter. We will also be reporting further in our next newsletter on the case of
Tanveer Masih, a Christian man with a severe intellectual disability who was brutally assaulted by his employers (click here). Despite clear evidence, local police pressured the family into accepting a
minimal compromise rather than pursuing justice against influential perpetrators. BACA intervened to fund Tanveer’s medical treatment, and we are thankful to report that his condition has now stabilised and his health has improved. Further details on his recovery and our continued advocacy will follow. These ongoing efforts reflect our commitment not only to emergency intervention, but to long-term dignity, protection, and justice for those most at
risk. Thank you for continuing to stand with the persecuted and vulnerable through your prayers, generosity, and steadfast support.
A Critical Appeal: Help Us Raise £6,000 for Urgent Projects1 John 3:17–18 “If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or
sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?” BACA continues to face multiple urgent challenges, and we need your help more than ever. We are appealing to raise at least £6,000 to continue life-changing work for persecuted and vulnerable Christian families. Your support will help us: Christian Asylum-Seeking Family Detained in Thailand—Urgent
Appeal A Pakistani Christian asylum-seeking family in Thailand has been torn apart after an immigration raid led to the detention of three adults in harsh IDC conditions. Their 15-year-old son was released, leaving his older brother to care for him alone. BACA has launched an urgent appeal to raise 150,000 Thai Baht (£3506) to secure bail and reunite the family (click here). Rebuild the home of flood victim Shabir Masih, whose roof collapsed, leaving his family homeless. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the house
in Narowal for other flood victims has been completed, and we are now focusing on Shabbir’s home. All of these projects are carried out by the same trusted Christian builders, ensuring quality, safety, and continuity across our work. The full repair will cost £3000 (click here). Every pound you give directly transforms lives—providing safety, dignity, and hope where it is needed most. These projects are not just assistance; they are lifelines for families who have nowhere else to turn. (click here). Cover essential legal and emergency support for vulnerable families, ensuring justice and protection for children and families in crisis. Please stand with us in this critical challenge.
Together, we can ensure safety, dignity, and hope for those who need it most.
Breaking Ground: BACA’s First Safe House in Pakistan Becomes a Reality

A Sanctuary for the Oppressed: Together, We Can Make It Happen
The British Asian Christian Association (BACA) has reached a historic milestone with the purchase of its first safe house in Pakistan—a vital refuge for persecuted Christian families facing serious threats to their lives. Designed with security and dignity at its core, the safe house will provide immediate protection, care, and hope to families forced to flee violence and intimidation.
Standing with the Persecuted: BACA’s Relief Efforts in Thailand
Pakistani Christian asylum seekers in Thailand live in constant fear due to the country’s refusal to recognise refugees, leaving them vulnerable to arrest and detention. As police raids intensify in December, many families are forced into isolation, unable to work or access basic services. On 30th November, BACA
provided urgent food grants to 10 struggling Christian families, helping them afford essentials like rent, medicine, and food. This support brings vital hope to a community trapped in uncertainty and searching for safety, dignity, and compassion.
Christian Asylum-Seeking Family Seized in Thai Immigration Raid—BACA Launches Urgent Bail Appeal
A Pakistani Christian asylum-seeking family in Thailand was torn apart when immigration police arrested three adults and detained them in harsh IDC conditions. Their 15-year-old son was released due to his age, leaving his 20-year-old brother struggling alone to care for him. The family urgently needs 150,000 Thai Baht to secure
bail and reunite. BACA has launched an emergency appeal to free them and restore hope in their darkest moment.
Safe Drinking Water Reaches Christian and Hindu Residents of Jarawater
A remote Christian and Hindu community in Jarawater, Sindh, lived for years without clean water. Women and children walked long distances to collect contaminated canal water, leading to sickness and daily hardship. BACA has now installed a water pump, bringing safe drinking water to their
doorstep. The community is asking for help again—this time, to build a much-needed washroom.
New: Support Children Artists and BACA’s Work
We are excited to launch our new online shop, showcasing beautiful crystal art canvasses worked on by children from deprived families. Each canvas is priced between £40–£70. While the purchase cost of the artwork ranges from just £4.99–£13.99, there have been additional expenses for transport and handling. The purpose of this project is to
offer a meaningful way for people who might not usually donate to support these children’s futures—by purchasing their artwork, you give a gift that directly empowers and encourages them. These children dedicate their time and passion to create beautiful artwork. All proceeds support them and BACA’s work with orphans and persecuted Christians. Explore the shop and make a difference: [Visit our Crystal Art Shop]

Supporting Vulnerable Children in Peru — A Personal MissionAlongside my work with BACA, I will soon be joining my university’s Challenges Abroad team to support deprived children in Peru. This opportunity follows the life-changing experience I had in Thailand last year, where I witnessed first-hand how charities can transform the lives of vulnerable
children. I hope to bring the skills and understanding I gained back to strengthen BACA’s mission of supporting disadvantaged communities around the world. To help fund this program, our Challenges Abroad team has launched a Chuffed Campaign. I have already raised £560 towards the £2,000 needed for this volunteer experience, and I noticed that the link in our previous articles was incorrect. The correct link
is now provided, and any donation, no matter the size, would mean the world to me. Your generosity will not only enable me to participate in this important work, but also equip me to return with fresh ideas, strategies, and inspiration to help BACA continue its fight for justice, safety, and freedom for those who need it most. “Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the
poor and the oppressed.” — Psalm 82:3 With gratitude and blessings, Hannah Chowdhry British Asian Christian Association For more ways to support our work, please visit our donation page.
